Hair prostheses: Should you tell the people around you?

Hair prostheses: Should you tell the people around you?

I don’t think you should have to do anything…. Do you tell the whole world when you have dentures or nails fitted? No, unless it makes you feel better and allows you to avoid any embarrassing questions!
For my part, I proceeded in homeopathic doses, meaning that exposure was gradual because I wasn’t ready to hear stereotypical comments about “it’s not serious to have fine hair”, or “there are worse things”, about total self-acceptance from people whose hair mass was unfairly provocative.
My ‘coming out’ was total when I decided to leave my job in fashion to start working with hair prostheses, and I realised that a lot of people didn’t know about it (even though my hair had miraculously grown by 15cm and gained crazy density in less than a month). On the other hand, if you don’t accept it, those around you will feel your complexes and this could lead to embarrassment or discomfort.

What about you, do the people around you know about it? How did it go?
See you soon!
